Manzanares El Real
Manzanares el Real is a small town with 8000 inhabitants located in northern area of Madrid. The village is located to in the Cuenca Alta del Manzanares Regional Park that is listed in the Worldwide Biosphere Reserves and that is one of the most stunning landscapes in the Region of Madrid. The river Manzanares unites Lake Santillana just outside the village. One of the highlights of the town’s rich cultural and historical heritage is the Castle of Manzanares el Real, which is one of the best preserved castles in the Madrid Region and built in the 15th century. Manzanares el Real is an ideal place to enjoy history, nature and outdoor sports.
