Bled is a town on Lake Bled with 5000 inhabitants in Upper Carniolan region of northwestern Slovenia. The iconic Bled Castle, which is perched on a rock overlooking the lake, is one of the most attractive tourist attractions. Bled is considered as a fantastic tourist resort offering a wide range of sports activities. There is also a starting point for mountain treks and hikes nearby Triglav National park. The town is known in Slovenia for its vanilla and cream pastry.
