The municipality of Tamsweg is located in Salzburg Region, in Austria and on its territory there are an alpine lake, the Prebersee lake. The municipality is twinned with the municipality of Iseo. Tamsweg is very important for the project because it offers an environment which is peculiar and it is represented by the presence of the Alps; the Tamsweg context is a fragile and precious one at the same time. The possibility to share and to learn the newest best practices in fields like: environmental protection, sustainable tourism practices and slow life styles makes Tamsweg a perfect partner for the nEUlakes project. The municipality is furthermore committed to the promotion of local identity, European integration and EU common values as well as to the concept of active citizenship.
